Email privacy
Rightbacker collects your email address to send Rightbacker editorial emails and occasional updates. We record when and where you signed up, the consent wording you accepted, confirmation and unsubscribe dates, your subscription status, and limited delivery records. You do not need to supply a name or create an account.
We do not sell the list, use it for advertising, build advertising profiles, or use tracking pixels. Our mail-hosting provider processes email addresses and messages to deliver them. Rightbacker retains control of its subscriber list and correspondence.
Signing up requires confirmation by email. We will not activate your subscription until you confirm. Our editorial mailings have not begun yet.
You can unsubscribe using the link in your confirmation email and, when mailings begin, in every editorial email. A link opens a confirmation page; submitting it stops future mailings. You can also request assistance or deletion of your subscriber information.
For subscription assistance or deletion, email contact@rightbacker.com. Please write from the subscribed address where possible so we can verify the request.
We use an essential session cookie for signup security, not tracking. Briefly retained keyed network-address digests help limit abuse; we do not store raw IP addresses in the subscriber database. Hosting security logs are managed separately. Unconfirmed signups are removed after 30 days by our maintenance task, delivery records after 30 days and operational audit entries after one year. Subscriber records are retained while active. After unsubscribe, we retain the address, status and consent history to honor the opt-out unless deletion is requested. Suppression records help prevent unwanted mail; deletion requests are handled by the publisher, including backup-retention limits.
Private backups are access-controlled. Deleted data may remain in retained backups until they expire; restored backups must have later deletion and suppression requests reapplied before sending.
